‘Padmavati’ is in the news these days and all for good reasons. After Deepika
Padukone making it to the Forbes Top Ten Highest paid actresses with the rumour
for charging around 10 crore for this
film, it is Shahid Kapoor that has been roped into this project and finalised
for playing Deepika’s husband in the film. Shahid Kapoor is a happy and satiated man. Just a couple of days back,
he welcomed his little bundle of joy, his daughter with wife Mira Rajput.

The actor only agreed to play the second lead as Raja Rawal Ratan Singh, because it is an Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film and the director made sure to even out his screen time.
