Ranveer Singh has made a special place in the industry with his excellent acting skills and energetic and fun-loving nature. He has done some very challenging roles and has already won many awards in his 6-year-old career in Bollywood. He made his debut in 2010 with his film Band Baaja Baaraat. Recently, he was seen in the history-based romantic movie Bajirao Mastani in which he played Bajirao I. His next movie is Rani Padmavati which is the third movie of the trio Ranveer-Deepika-Bhansali. Ranveer will play a yet another very challenging role of the second ruler of the Khilji dynasty, Alauddin Khilji.

The ambitious and powerful ruler Alauddin Khilji attacked on Chittor when he came to know about the beauty and wit of the queen of Chittor, Rani Padmavati. King Ratan Singh, Padmavati’s husband, was sent a message that Alauddin wants to meet his wife as he considers her as sister. King Ratan was aware of the might of the ruler and so to escape his fury, he agreed to let him meet. Padmavati allowed Alauddin to see her reflection in the mirror which fascinated him and made him develop love for her. While returning back, Alauddin was accompanied by Ratan Singh where he arrested him and asked for Padmavati. It was finally told that he will get Padmavati the next morning.

The next day, they attacked on him and freed Ratan Singh. Afterwards, Alauddin surrounded the fort of Chittor and stopped the essential supplies which led to the Ratan Singh’s plan to go for an all out suicide attack as they couldn’t bear more. After that, all the women committed suicide including Padmavati.

Ranveer Singh lately underwent a surgery at Hinduja hospital. While shooting for 'Bajirao Mastani' he suffered an injury his arm. The actor had posted live Tweets from the hospital while undergoing the surgery.  The actor posted, "As for the injury, I'm fine. Mard ko Dard nahi hota...aur badi badi filmon mein aisi chhoti chhoti baatein hoti rehti hain ;) #shithappens."

Ranveer Singh Bhavnani was born on 6 July 1985 in Mumbai. He is the son of Jagjit Singh Bhavnani and Anju Bhavnani. He graduated from H.R. College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai and further flew to United States to pursue Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University, Bloomington. Apart from being zealous towards acting and dancing, he also has his focus on creative writing. He returned to Mumbai in 2007 after getting over with his studies. He then worked for a few years as copywriter with agencies like O&M and JWT.

Ranveer Singh was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He, since childhood, had dreamt to becoming an actor. He was born and brought up in Mumbai, the City of Dreams. He made his debut opposite Anushka Sharma under Yash Raj Films with the movie ‘Band Baaja Baaraat.’ The real-life pair Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were seen together in 'Goliyon ki Rasleela - Ram Leela' and 'Bajirao Mastani' in which both of did a splendid job. Now again the pair is back together with their upcoming movie ‘Padmavati.’
